At Il Pantheon, excellence in tailoring is our passion, pride and purpose. With a love affair with the craft long pre-dating the foundation of the shop, Gianluca Occhiuto is among the most experienced cicerones available in the quest for the perfect suit. Having worked with distinguished tailors such as Kiton, Antonio Panico, Gianluca Rubino, La Vera Sartoria Napoletana and Isaia, we believe to have found Italy’s finest craftsmen in Sartoria DeBernardis. Under the leadership of master tailor Rocco DeBernardis and master cutter Giovanni Appice, this workshop delivers a fit, feeling and level of detailing we have yet to find elsewhere. Featuring endless seams by hand, the delicate stitch-work seen throughout each individual jacket and trouser are merely surface signs of the handiwork involved in the construction of every piece. Working very closely with these tailors, it is with great pride that we furnish our guests with jackets, trousers, overcoats and suits from Sartoria DeBernardis. As we regard the perfect sartorial creation a harmony between craftsmanship and material, we compliment the DeBernardis handiwork with a wide selection of fabrics from only the finest textile mills, such as Holland & Sherry, Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Fratelli Tallia di Delfino and Scabal. After a fitting to assure perfect drape and comfort, every jacket is finished in the shop with hand-sewn buttonholes.
We believe that Sartoria DeBernardis will satisfy the tastes of the most selective guests, however, due to our unrivalled experience and network, we are also happy and able to supply suits from old friends in the business for those who seek to broaden their collection.
Welcome
Since opening its door to Hegdehaugsveien and the world in April 2001, Il Pantheon has become a world-renowned provider of the finest men’s clothing with a distinctly Italian sartorial touch. Collaborating closely with the best artisans of Italy, we supply our guests with only the finest products, entirely made by hand in accordance with time-honoured traditions.
As the world of men’s wear is increasingly enchanted by the ‘sartorial’, sometimes merely a new wrapping for machine-made items, Il Pantheon continues to provide, and challenge popular notions of, the truly artisanal style. From a long list of distinguished products, the hand-sewn Norvegese shoe of Maftei, the G. Inglese shirt comprising 20 seams by hand, and the fully handmade jacket of Sartoria DeBernardis may exemplify our dedication to elegance and vestibilità. Recognising that our guests and products, both groups marked by their distinction, deserve only the most delicate attention, we provide a service unparalleled in knowledge and dedication in our part of the world.
From our base of 40 square meters propped with expertise and enduring passion, we continue to strive towards excellence in every facet of our work. It is for this reason that we proudly wear the label ‘Alta Sartoria’ on our façade.
